A. $31.25(x)=amount paid
B. $31.25(x)=$500
Divide $500 by $31.25 to cancel each other out
X≈16.5289 which in real world problems would equal 16

Hope this helped!

Explanation:

If he school bought 16 calculators they would pay 500 dollars because if you will divide 500 by 31.25 you will get an answer of 16
