Y=-2X, Y=5X+3 how do I solve this equation using substitution or elimination

Answer:

y= -2x........eqn i

y=5x+3......eqn ii

substituting the value of Y from eqn i in eqn ii, we get,

-2x=5x+3

-7x=3

x= -3/7

so, y= -2x= -2× (-3/7)

so, y= 6/7
