Why is the Declaration of Independence important and what are the 3 parts of the declaration? What is in each part?

The Declaration of Independence is an important part of American democracy because first it contains the ideals or goals of our nation. The Declaration contained 3 sections: a general statement of natural rights theory and the purpose of government; a list of grievances against the British King; and the declaration of independence from England.
