Answer:

1. Slope: -0.75x or -3/4x

Y-intercept: 7

Equation: -0.75x+7 or -3/4x-7

Remember -0.75 and -3/4 are the same!

2. Equation: 0.5x-3 or 1/2x-3

I used slope intercept form to solve. (y2-y1 over x2-x1) If you need more help comment below or send me a link!

Answer: (1) -3/4 (2) 7 (3) y = (-3/4)x + 7 (4) 1/2

Explanation:

1) COUNT the number of spaces from one point to the other point.

from (0, 7) to (4, 4) is: down 3 and right 4 → m = -3/4

2) the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis (when x = 0).

The line crosses the y-axis at (0, 7) → b = 7

3) Slope-Intercept form is y = mx + b

m = -3/4 and b = 7 → y = (-3/4)x + 7

4) COUNT the number of spaces from one point to the other point.

from (-2, -4) to (2, -2) is: up 2 and right 4 → m = 2/4 = 1/2 when simplified
