Many films today depend on both 3D and 2D techniques. How are they able to use both in the same film?

The two can be blended very easily so audiences can’t tell.

Techniques in 3d generally do not require any special equipment.

Directors have to commit to either 3D or 2D for the bulk of the film.

Audiences are not sophisticated enough to recognize 3D effects when they see them.
