Anne Putnam claims she was deluded by satan because she wanted the claims of her being a witch to end. She did not take responsibility for her actions and instead blamed it on satan in order for the people of Salem to end their accusations. She was never a witch, but only a woman who wanted to be free of the harsh claims put against her.
