1. Square of a Binomial

Symbols/Pattern:
(a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2
(a - b)2 = 22 - 2ab + b2
In the pattern, if a is the first term and b is the last term, then the square
of a binomial consists of:
a) the square of the first term (a);
b) twice the product of the first and last terms (2ab); and
c) the square of the last term (54).
