Answer:
Rewriting the equation in slope intercept form is: Y= -8x+4
Explanation:
Im sure there's a faster way to solving this, but I'm just in 8th grade so I'm gonna apply what I know so far.
First of all, we know that our slope is -8... so we have y= -8x so far
From here, to find out y intercept I knew that our slope deals with all the points assigned, therefore we know that from -4 the change would be -8 so we get -12. We can also go the other way. This means that we plus 8 to get positive 4. (Side note: the change in our x value is 1 so we know that our y intercept is always dealing with a 0 in the x position) ex. (0,9) the y intercept would be 9.
To wrap things up, the slope is -8 and the y intercept is 4.
We then get Y= -8x+4
Hope this helps! :)
