Explanation:

The slope-intercept form (basically the form for the equation of a line)

y=mx+b

m is the slope

x is the value you want to plug in, or the x term in a point (x, y)

we know so far,

y=6/5x + b

so to find the missing value let's plug in the x & y value from (5, -2) and use the given slope

-2 = 6/5(5) + b

6 / 5 x 5/1 or 6/5 times 5 is 30/5 or 6

so

-2 = 6 + b

subtract 6 from each side to isolate the b value or y-intercept ( the point on the graph that is on the y-axis)

-8 = b
