Explanation:

cancel equal terms on both sides of the equation

0=-2 x |14s-5|

swap the sides of the equation

-2 x |14s-5|=0

divide both sides of the equation by -2

|14s-5|=0

when the absolute value of 14s-5= 0, then 14s-5=0

move the constant to the right-hand side and change its sign

14s=5

now divide both sides of the equation by 14

s=5/14
