m = 8
Explanation:
put -24 into the equation so :
find two numbers that : times to make -24, and add to make 5
those two numbers are 8 and -3 (since 8-3=5 and 8*-3=-24)
put those into double brackets: (x-3)(x+8)
(x-3)(x+8) = (x-3)(x+m)
+8 goes into where m is
m = 8
