The little rock nine gain notoriety for attending school because they enrolled in an all white school which because of black and white segregation was discriminated upon of by white supremacists and it gain national attention because in 1954 The supreme court declared that segregation in public schools was unconstitutional but that didn't stop people from hating the presence of black children in an all white, so much so that the president at the time had people escort them in on fear of what the people might have done to them.This is one of many great actions taken towards the Civil right movement
