Number of cans of paints = 9 cans

This is rate - work problem. So therefore, we can simply solve them;

Since;

2 cans of paint costs 7 dollars

9 cans of paint will now cost
(9 cans x 7 dollars)/(2 cans) = $31.5

The cost of 9 cans of paint is $31.5
