Creativity involves the ability to imagine things and bring them to life in our mind's eye. Objectivity in history means that history is basically about facts and the reality of things and it is not a product of personal opinions. While it is indeed true that the study of history is a study of facts about past events, too much of these pieces of information when taken hook, line, and sinker could easily clog our minds and cause information overload.

So, creativity is needed to bring the events to life in our mind's eye. We need to imagine the people and how the events actually occurred. That way, the information sticks better and we are able to retain it.
