What is the ratio of the number of beaks to the number of legs the chickens and the sheep have on this farm?

Answer:

8 chickens, 14 sheep needs to be simplified

Explanation:

So the chicken has 1 beak and 2 legs and a sheep has 4 legs.

so since there are 8 chickens we know we have 8 beaks

if we mulitply 2 times 8 we get 16

if we mulitply 4 times 14 we get 56

the number of legs is 16+56=72

so we have 8 beaks and 72 legs or 8:72

Divide both sides by 8 to simpilfy u get 1:9 as the answer
