∴ That means every one of these equal angles measures m

→ That means its measure equal the sum of the measures of

the 3 equal angles

5m - 28 = m + m + m

→ Add the like terms in the right side

∴ 5m - 28 = 3m

→ Add 28 to both sides

∵ 5m - 28 + 28 = 3m + 28

∴ 5m = 3m + 28

→ Subtract 3m from both sides

∵ 5m - 3m = 3m - 3m + 28

∴ 2m = 28

→ Divide both sides by 2


(2m)/(2)=(28)/(2)

m = 14

The value of the variable m is 14
