A)(China was ruled by the Qing Dynasty after the fall of the Ming Dynasty.) China was able to expand with the use of their military and their economy. The Qing Dynasty permitted regional leaders the right to control captured territories, and they didn’t force the Chinese culture on territories. The founding emperors personally organized and led the armies, the dynasty depended on the military for protection and expansion. Therefore the military was one of the biggest armies during the Dynasty’s time period. The Qing dynasty was able to control China's people because they retained traditional Confucian customs. Confucianism brought stability into China which had been affected in many ways from previous dynasties.
B)The Songhai empire was located south of the Sahara Desert and along the Niger River. The Songhai Empire’s culture was based on a mixture of West African traditions, but Islam was the law of the land and came before everything else. The emperor used loyal, Muslim governors and town chiefs to control the five provinces of the empire.
C)The Aztecs used tributes (taxes) and sacrifices to generate revenue and consolidate power. Tribute collectors, known as calpixque, were located in each province and made sure that taxes and tributes were collected. Aztecs also sacrificed humans. They sacrificed enemies and prisoners, and sometimes even ate them. Aztecs preferred not to kill so that they could tax prisoners or sacrifice them. You can imagine how this reminded enemies of the Aztecs’ power.
