SO IN THIS CASE THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE IT:

`(2 miles = 50 mins)/(x=90 mins)`

So this means in 50 minutes he covered 2 miles and in 90 minutes she covered x miles.

To find x cross multiply :

2 miles * 90 = 180 and x * 50 = 50x

That means 180 = 50x

Divide both sides by 50:

`(180)/(50)`=
`(50x )/(50)`

3.6 = x

180 divided by 50 is 3.6 and 50x divided by 50 is x.

THUS HE TRAVELLED 3.6 MILES IN 90 MINUTES.
