We suspect the top circle is supposed to contain the product of the left and right circles, and the bottom circle is supposed to contain their sum.
When you're given only the product and sum, it can work reasonably well to look at the factorization of the product, and the sums of the factor pairs. It usually doesn't take long to find the sum of interest, if the numbers you're looking for are integers. (For the last problem, we had to look at several factor pairs before we found the right one.)
