Sausages come in packets of 10. Bread rolls come in packets of 15. Dan wants to buy enough packs of sausages and rolls so that there are an equal number of sausages and rolls. What is the minimum number of sausages and rolls he needs to buy?

Minimum number of packets of sausages and roll brought which cost same.

Solution:

1) The cost of sausage packets is ₹10.

The cost of roll packets is ₹15.

2) If we want to make the cost of both roll same then we have to take the LCM of 10,15

LCM[10, 15] = 30

3) In ₹30 we can buy 3 packets of sausage and ₹30 we can buy 3 packets of roll.

He needs to take the LCM of 15 and 10. ( LCM = 30 )

15 × 2 = 30

10 × 3 = 30

Therefore,

Dan has to buy -

3 packets of sausages

AND

2 packets of bread rolls
