Calculate the slope first;

Take any 2 points on the table: (1, 10)(2, 14)


(y^(2)-y^(1) )/(x^(2)- x^(1) ) = (14-10)/(2-1) =(4)/(1)=4

So the slope is 4

Now to calculate the y-intercept;

y = 4x + b

Lets substitute with one of the points;

10 = 4(1) + b

10 = 4 + b

Subtract 4 from both sides;

6 = b OR b = 6
