The atomic theory changed with time because each scientist went behind another scientist and added on to their ideas and their theories. The models and everything changed as new things about the atom were being discovered. For example, some scientists saw that electrons did not have a specific placement in an atom and instead, it moves around freely in the electron cloud which changed the atomic model later on.
