As simple as I can get, woman (white) were very upset at the fact they couldn’t vote for such a long time and they would protest and eventually the men in charge said “okay fine” and passed the 19th amendment which allowed white women to vote :) Hope this helped!
Not all black women could vote, some could in states like California, but just remember that the 19th amendment was mostly for white women.
