The distance formula is just a way of finding the distance between two coordinates on a plane. You could google it, but to summarize, it is


d = √((x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2-y_1)^2)

Basically just the opposite of the Pythagoreas Theorem, kinda :)

Here, we can just plug in the values to get d = 10, BUT we have to remember to scale it up by 100 times!

So, our answer is 10 * 100 = 1,000 meters :)
