Given:

The a model house has a scale of 3 inches : 10 feet.

To find:

Wide is the model if the real house is 35 feet wide.

Solution:

It is given that,

3 inches : 10 feet

It means, if the measure real side is 10 feet then side length in model is 3 inches.

Real side is 1 feet then side length in model is
(3)/(10) inches.

Real house is 35 feet wide then side length in model
=(3)/(10)* 35

=(105)/(10)

=10.5

Therefore, the model is 10.5 inches wide.
