Y-intercept: -1

Explanation:

Get Y by itself by subtracting x on both sides

2y= -x -2

Now divide both sides by 2 to cancel the two connected to the y:

Y = -1/2x -2/2

So y= -1/2x -1

Y=mx+b so m is the slope and b represents the y-intercept
