Explanation:

You have to have multiplied every number with every number in the other parentheses:

y · x = xy, y · y = , y · 3 = 3y

1 · x = x, 1 · y = y, 1 · 3 = 3

Now, add the products together and simplify:

xy + y² + 3y + x + y + 3

3 + x + xy + 3y + y² +y <=== since no like terms can be combined, just

put them in alphabetical order for easier organization
