Answer:

Option (2).

Explanation:

Graph of the number of packs of papers required with respect to time represents a linear function.

Let the equation of the line is,

y - y' = m(x - x')

where m = slope of the line

(x', y') = coordinates of a point lying on the line

Since, the given line of the graph passes through two points (8, 2) and (16, 4)

Slope of the line =
(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

=
(4-2)/(16-8)

=
(1)/(4)

Therefore, equation of the line passing through (8, 2) and slope of the line =
(1)/(4),

y - 2 =
(1)/(4)(x-8)

y =
(1)/(4)x

For x = 28 days,

y =
(28)/(4)

= 7 packs

Option (2) will be the answer.
