Explanation:

Perimeter of equilateral ∆= perimeter of rectangle

side of ∆ = 4cm

perimeter of equilateral ∆ = 3 ( side) which is = 3 (4cm)

= 12cm

when, perimeter of rectangle = 12 cm

breadth = 3cm

length =?

since, perimeter = 2 ( l + b)

12 = 2 ( l + 3 )

12/2 = l + 3

6 = l + 3

therefore, length = 3cm

Area of square = (side)^2

Side = 3cm

Area = 9cm sq.
