Thale's theorem stated that if a line parallel to the base of the triangle intersects it, the ratio of sides of the respective sides is equal

In this diagram, since the 2 horizontal lines are parallel

the ratio of the 2 sides on the left and the 2 sides on the right will be equal

Hence,

x/15 = 2/10

x = 30/10

x = 3
