I have 3 plants. the same type of seed, soil, organic fertilizer, chemical fertilizer, water, and a ruler. I need to figure out the independent variable dependent variable and controlled variable. he added chemical to the first pot, organic to the second and no fertilizer to the third​

dependent: plant growth

control: soil, seed, water, type of pot, environment/amount of sunlight, air quality, etc.

Explanation: Think about it like this: the dependent variable DEPENDS on the independent variable. The fertilizer will control how tall the plant grows (if there is a relationship between them). Then the control variable is ANY VARIABLE that remains the same in all trials. You can only manipulate one variable (have one independent variable) or else the experiment is not valid.
