Explanation:

total length = 445 cm (A + B + C)

A = 45 + B

B = C/2

find A

A + B + C = AC

(45 + B) + (C/2) + C = 445

45 + C/2 + C/2 + C = 445

2C = 445 - 45

C = 400/2

C = 200

B = 200/2

B = 100

A = 45 + 100

A = 145
