Frank rented a truck for one day. There was a base fee of $15.95, and there was an additional charge of 99 cents for each mile driven. Frank had to pay $145.64 when he returned the truck. For how many miles did he drive the truck?

Explanation:

145.64 = 15.95 + .99m

Subtract 15.95 from both sides

129.69 = .99m

divide .99 from both sides to get the variable by itself
