The b is the y-intercept, so to find it you just need to find where the line is on the y-axis when x is zero

The slope is just rise over run (y2-y1/x2-x1), so the graph in the picture shows us that the line goes up 4 to go over 1. Therefore the slope is 4/1 which is equal to 4.
