Answer: Evolutionarily speaking, all hominids were modern Homo sapiens from 9,000 to 1,000 BCE. Homo neanderthalensis were completely extinct, as were mastodons, wooly mammoths, and saber-toothed tigers, among other extinct mammals. Hope this helps!
