  • No need of getting confused about using Pythagorean theorem. Question is indirectly saying to apply distance formula
  • P(-3,-3)
  • Q(7,6)

\\ \sf\longmapsto PQ=√((7+3)^2+(6+3)^2)

\\ \sf\longmapsto PQ=√((10)^2+(9)^2)

\\ \sf\longmapsto PQ=√(100+81)

\\ \sf\longmapsto PQ=√(181)

\\ \sf\longmapsto PQ\approx 13.4units

Answer:

  • 13.5 units

Explanation:

Use distance formula:

  • d = √((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)

Substitute the coordinates:

  • d = √((-3-7)^2+(-3-6)^2) =√(10^2+9^2) =√(181) =13.5 rounded
