Colonialism was able to greatly change the way farming worked in many colonized nations which also caused great famine by enacting laws that required farmers to allot a certain amount of money to pay to the government which would spend that money on buildings. Because of the imperialistic nature of harsh leaders during the age of colonization, millions of people died from preventable issues such as famine.
