Answer:

130°

Explanation:

The measure of the supplement of an angle is 50 more than twice the measure of the complement. Find the measure of the supplement

Let us represent the Angle as x

An Angle + It's supplement = 180°

x + supplement = 180°

Supplement = 180° - x

Angle + Complement = 90°

Complement = 90° - x

The measure of the supplement of an angle is 50 more than twice the measure of the complement.

Supplement = 50 + 2(Complement)

Since = Supplement = 180° - x

Complement = 90° - x

Hence

180° - x = 50 + 2(90° - x)

180° - x = 50 + 180° - 2x

Collect like terms

-x + 2x = 50 + 180 - 180

x = 50°

Angle = x = 50°

We are asked to find the Measure for the supplement

Supplement = 180° - x

Supplement = 180° - 50°

= 130°

Hence, the measure of the supplement = 130°
