Why do we see more kids from poor neighborhoods go to prison compared to kids from more privileged neighborhoods and upbringings?

Because more poor kids tend to steal than privileged kids they have enough money to afford things they need

Answer:

I feel like its because the kids who didnt have much grew up because they have/ had a hard life and took it out on something or someone which caused them to get locked up . It also honestly depends on the parents if the parents are supporting and loving then those kids probably have a better percentage of staying free . Then those kids that are privileged grow up with anything they need/ want , But as I said before it depends on the parents . if the parents are toxic the kid could develop mental issues and cause them to do things that will get them in prison .
