6 + 0.10x = 0.15x + 8

0.10x-0.15x=8-6

-0.05x=2

x=2/-0.05

to remove the decimal point, multiply 100 in the numerator and in the denominator since in the denominator , there are two digits after the decimal point

therefore, x=2×100/-0.05×100

x=200/-5

x=-40
