Answer : $0.75

____________________________________

1) How many bottles can you buy for $3?

let the number of bottles that can be bought for $3 is x

cost of 1 bottle = $0.75

cost of x bottles = cost of 1 bottle*x = $0.75x

cost of x bottles is also $3

therefore,

$0.75x = $3

x = $3/$0.75 = 4

Thus, 4 bottles can be bought for $3 -----answer
