What is the primary reason that slavery became more widespread in the
South than in the North?

Answer: slavery was more important to the southern states because they wanted to have workers but not have to pay them. They would make more money to buy more land and pay their taxes. That was the South’s way of living. That how the economy was ran. As for the north they had more factories and stuff because of soil and etc.
