Answer:

a. (2, 3).

Explanation:

-2x+y=-1

-8x+2y= -10 Multiply the first equation by -2:-

4x - 2y = 2 Adding:

-4x + 0 = -8

x = -8/-4

x = 2

So

-8(2) + 2y = -10

2y = -10 + 16 = 6

y = 3.
