Which description is an example of direct characterization?

He slurped his soup and gulped his milk, then wiped his face on his sleeve and burped.
He gazed at the sprawling buffet and thought that he had never seen so much food in one place.
He beckoned the waitress and said through a mouthful, “Can I get more butter for these rolls?”
He was rude, shuffling to the front of the buffet line and elbowing customers out of his way.

Answer:

The last one (he was rude, shuffling to the front of the buffet line and elbowing customers out of his way)

Step-by-step explanation:

I am not enitrely sure but I think it's the last one because the definition of a direct charactization is basically exactly what the words state. A direct characterization is when you talk about a character's PERSONALITY directly meaning it shouldn't be the first one because there is no personality directly stated and all though 2 and 3 mention some sort of personality, it is not direct. I think the most direct sentence of stating the man's personality is the last. let me know if this helps you :)
