Why was Pope Leo III's crowning of Charlemagne significant? It established the Church as a political force. It proved that the Church could make political decisions. It indicated that the pope had more power than monarchs. It showed that the pope was ruling the Holy Roman Empire.

Answer:

It established the Church as a political force.

Step-by-step explanation:

Charlemagne was crowned as Emperor of the Roman Empire on year 800, and his empire virtually covered all of modern day western Europe. Before becoming emperor, Charlemagne was the king of the Franks, and he ruled over what is today Belgium, western Germany, France and the Netherlands. But as he continued to expand his rule, he converted "barbarians" into Christianity (Italy, Austria, Hungary and the rest of Germany). He was a very talented and well educated military leader, who also forced religious conversion on the countries that he ruled. He also supported the Christian church by giving them land and money.
