Answer:

The USA Basics are that we have elementary school for 6-10 yr olds, middle school for 10-14 yr olds, high school for 15-18 yr olds and college for 18+ yrs. AN average school day here lasts from 8 am to 3:15 pm. Students either buy school lunch or bring their own. Our literacy rate is 99% and rank is 45th. Our enrollment rate for primary education is 91%. We can also have homeschooling. Adults have an average of 12.9 years of schooling. All public schools are free and textbooks are paid for. Teachers are required to have a college education.

The basics in Guatemala are that they have primary edu. for 7-13 yr olds (mandatory), middle school for 13-16 yr olds, secondary for 15-18 yr olds, technical secondary for for 16-18 yr olds (upper level secondary), and tertiary for 18+ (uni level). Their average school day lasts from 8 am to 12 pm. Students eat lunch at home. Their literacy rate is 81.5% and rank 174 out of 194 countries. Homeschooling is illegal. Adults only have an average of about 5.6 years of schooling. Enrollment for middle school is less than 40%. There are more than 2 million out of school youths in Guatemala. Their education quality is poor. Public education is free but a lot of them can't afford it. The government does not pay for supplies. Teachers are only required to have a high school education.
