From "The Valley Of Fear" by Arthur Conan Doyle
Baldwin And McMurdo
Baldwin and McMurdo disliked each other since their very first meeting. They both like Ettie, and, that's where the rivalry begins. He knows that Ettie likes McMurdo more and will obviously choose McMurdo over him. It's pretty clear that Teddy Baldwin is jealous of McMurdo. Baldwin was also very furious when he heard that body master McGinty chose McMurdo over him, who had been loyal to the lodge for years.
I'd add more things, but, honestly, that's all- since I don't like to overexaggerate things. Hope it helps you, all the best!
