Let's get rid of 3x first. We're going to add it to the other side. That way our equation will now look like 3 + 4x = 2. Now subtract the 3 from both sides. SO now you'll be left with 4x = -1. We're are now going to divide by 4 on both sides which will leave us with x = -1/4 or -0.25. The equation has one solution so your answer will be B.
