Explanation:

( f o g ) (3) means f(g(3)) so...

First: plug 3 into g(x) = x^ (2-1)

3^ (2-1) is 3^1 = 3

Next: plug 3 into f(x)= 2^(x-1)

2^(3-1) is 2^(2) > 2Ă—2 = 4
