I added a picture of a coordinate plane below.

First of all, you should know that the first number should always be on the X-axis, and the second is always on the y-axis.

The x-axis is the horizontal line. The y-axis is the vertical line.

I have this little trick that will help you find the place to put the dot:

So, now you have to look for -4 on the x-axis. Put your finger on it.

Now, search for 6 on the y-axis. Put your finger on there once you found it.

Finally, push your finger on the -4 up, and push up your finger on 6 until they meet. That's where your dot will go.
